Blog 4: Favorite movie/ anime
Hello everyone, in this opportunity I´m go to talk about one of my favourites films.
“Vivre sa Vie” a French film of the year 1962, directed by Jean-Luc Godard, one of the most famous French film-makers. The film starred Anna Karina, A very popular Danish actress. Both Anna Karina and Godard participated in the artistic movement called “Nouvelle Vague” and “Vivre sa Vie” was part of this movement.
The film tells the story of Nana, a young Parisian woman. She leaves his family to start his career as an actress but starts having money problems. Her job as a saleswoman not enough to pay your debts. As a result of her money problems, she decides to work as a prostitute.
The narration is done through twelve scenes where we are shown the thoughts of our protagonist and we see her experience with the people she meets. The film deals with themes such as freedom, love, inequality and marginality. For me it is a perfect film, from the performance of Anna Karina to the directing of Godard, visually very well resolved.
I invite you to see it and review the filmography of both Anna Karina and Godard.
I share with you the link to the complete film with english subtitles.
Thanks for reading.
